Shaun brings more than 15 years of experience in management with various leadership roles including area and account management, finance, sales, customer service, marketing and business administration. Shaun graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelors in Business Management.
As Vice President and General Manager Shaun is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business. He has direct oversight over financial and accounting functions and works closely with the President / CEO and the Chief Financial Officer of FYI in creating contracts and budgets. Shaun is also involved in developing sales strategies and financial forecasts.
Chris has spent the majority of his career developing technology for the online, onscreen and print TV listings industries. With over 16 years of system design, system development and database management experience, his thorough understanding of information technology has allowed him to make monumental contributions to FYI.
As Vice President of Information Technology, Chris has been the primary architect in the creation, design and development of FYI's databases, products and internal applications.
John entered the television listings business in August 1980. Throughout his multi-decade career in the TV listings industry, John has sold products and services to hundreds of newspapers. He has also directed hundreds of TV book redesigns, leading to successful contracts with some of the largest newspaper groups in the country including Gannett Company, Morris Communications, Journal Register and more.
As FYI's Vice President of Newspaper Sales, he manages the sale and launch of new products for individual newspapers and newspaper groups, serves as a TV listings consultant and design resource, and manages all national sales.
Joining the FYI Management Team in 2005, Paul Kalmbacher has nearly three decades of cumulative experience in the television industry, which includes a satellite television broadcasting background, substantial knowledge and experience in the television content/entertainment metadata arena, and strong personnel management credentials.
In his current role as Content Provider and Vendor Relations Manager, Paul is responsible for establishing and growing our strategic partnerships with data vendors the world over in our ongoing effort to forward the company’s growth as the global leader in content discovery metadata.
Susan's career in administration started in 1995 while serving in the United States Coast Guard. She began working at FYI Television in 2005 where her experience in Human Resources helped expand the company from 40 employees to well over 100.
She has been essential in helping establish the company's policies and procedures as well as developing its business practices. She uses her acquired expertise to oversee the administration side of the Business Department.
Scott joined our team in 2012 with more than 15 years of sales and marketing experience and 15 years of I.T. experience. Scott's sales experience includes 7 years marketing TV listings and TV listing publications to the newspaper and cable TV industry. Scott’s IT experience includes work with a financial software development firm in systems management and disaster recovery and most recently as a member of a global I.T. staff at a pharmaceutical company with a focus on information security, enterprise architecture oversight and project management.
Scott works closely with our sales staff to coordinate client and prospect requirements, product innovation, design and delivery. He also teams up with our I.T. staff and production group leading projects for product development, agility, quality, optimization to time-to-market reduction strategies and product innovation.
Mayra began her career in the TV listings business over 20 years ago as an International Editor at Encore Publishing. Within this role, Mayra translated television listings information from English to Spanish for publications in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and many other Spanish speaking countries.
Mayra joined the FYI team in 2002 as the International Editor and was promoted to Client Services Manager in 2003. Her expertise in successfully expanding a company's development internationally has had a direct impact on the fast-growth strategy at FYI. In 2013, the Channel Lineups department was moved under her management.
After working for FYI's previous CPA firm, Joey was recruited by FYI to become their own in-house accountant in 2009.
Joey has worked in the accounting departments of Baylor Hospital, Blockbuster and Palm Beach Tan. Joey's experience in the accounting industry and contribution to FYI play a vital role in shaping FYI into the company it is today.
Jay began his career at FYI in 2004 as a Schedule Editor and was instrumental in supporting the newly created Channel Lineup Department, where he managed the changing data aspect of the TV listings business.
Currently, Jay leads several key departments at FYI. As supervisor of the Station Coordination team, Jay focuses on acquiring schedule data and refining the schedule content flow through the Editing department. Jay also oversees Corporate Training, where he ensures the quality of FYI's employee training programs.
As FYI's Media Content and Data Acquisition Manager, Jay's primary focus is managing and meeting project deadlines for the Media Content, Sports Content and Content Development teams to provide FYI's clients the highest quality television metadata and media content.
Lauren brings to FYI over 12 years of business-to-business and business-to-consumer experience in sales, strategic marketing, product development, promotions, public relations and market research. Her experience in these environments has groomed her into an adaptive force vital to today's rapidly changing FYI landscape.
Today, Lauren uses her expertise to direct and influence the marketing initiatives of FYI. Using her market knowledge, she combines a thorough understanding of effective strategies and delivery methods to maximize the visibility and impact of targeted communications.
Gordon joined the FYI team in 2004 as Supervising Editor and has been in the entertainment and television information industry for over 25 years.
His wealth of knowledge and experience not only allows him to assist in the co-ordination efforts between multiple teams at FYI, but also in the growth of new business and the debugging of FYI’s proprietary software. He also provides internal support to various departments via the distribution of analytical reports highlighting productivity, issue tracking and other business intelligence.
Cheryl started her career in print shops as a typesetter in 1978. From 1978 to 1989, she worked at various print shops located in Monroe, Shreveport, Oklahoma City, Midwest City, Austin and Dallas.
Cheryl entered the television listings business in June 1989. Throughout her multi-decade career in the TV listings industry, Cheryl has been responsible for production jobs including television books, four-color brochures, ads, newsletters, television information sheets and catalogs. She joined the team at FYI Television in February 2005 as a desktop editor. In January 2015, she took over as Desktop Manager at FYI Television.
